Eugene Holley was born in The Territory of Guam, but was raised in Jacksonville, FL. Eugene has trained in various dance styles such as Bachata, Cha-Cha, Jazz, Salsa, and Zouk, but his favorite style to teach is Salsa. He began his dance journey in 2005 when he became part of Corazón Dancers at Florida State University. While there, Eugene developed his passion for teaching and performing. Eugene also had the opportunity to attend a multitude of dance workshops, festivals, and congresses where he was able to build a repertoire of knowledge from several of his dance heroes.
During his stay in Tallahassee, Eugene was also part of Tallahassee Salsa Dancers for a few seasons. After graduating college, he moved back to his hometown and continued training and performing with Tumbao Dance Company and Sakoso Dance Team. Post COVID, Eugene focused on career development and welcomed his first child, Liam. Besides being on the stage and social dancing everywhere he goes, Eugene enjoys photography, video games, and nature. Eugene is very excited to continue to build our local dance scene and to share almost 20 years of experience.
