About the event
We are honored to welcome Yusniel Garcia, a Cuban dancer and choreographer with over 17 years of professional experience, to our studio for the very first time in Jacksonville!
Yusniel is a graduate of Havana's National School of Modern, Contemporary, and Folkloric Dance (ENA) and the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), where he specialized in Cuban Folklore. He is a distinguished instructor at Iroko Dance Company.
This 2-hour introductory masterclass will explore the foundations of Afro-Cuban Movement, an essential pillar of Salsa Dancing. By understanding the roots, body isolations, and rhythms of Afro-Cuban dance, salsa dancers gain deeper musicality, authenticity, and expression in their dancing.
